to treasure
We love what nature gives us, and give oyster shells a second life as small works of art.
We collect all our oysters on the Eastern Scheldt in Zeeland, the largest national park in the Netherlands. Back in Amsterdam they're cleaned, and then the real work begins: decoupage, paint, gold leaf, pearls and a glossy finish.
What started as a stall at the Noordermarkt has grown into a shop on the Herenstraat and a webshop that ships all over the world. Every Saturday we're still at the market, which celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2023.

Season
Oysters are at their best from September to April. In summer they ‘milk’, producing their eggs.
Natural filter
A single oyster filters up to 190 litres of water a day, keeping the Eastern Scheldt clear.
Never the same
No two oysters grow alike, which is why every piece we make is one of a kind.
